Pricing & fees

This is what it costs to sell on DUZO. Fees are only charged when an item actually sells — creating a listing is always free, and an item that doesn't sell costs nothing. Buyers never pay us a fee. Shipping costs, if you offer shipping, are calculated automatically from the carrier's price list, based on the parcel's weight and size (volumetric weight), and go to you in full.

All prices above include VAT (25 %). What you see is what is deducted — no VAT is added on top.

You don't pay for add-ons up front: like the commission, they are deducted from the sale amount at payout. If the item doesn't sell they cost nothing — including if you list it again, when they carry over.

Worked examples

Worked at the ordinary commission: 7 % of the final price. During the campaign a sale costs nothing at all.

The fee is never more than 149 kr per item and never less than 2 kr. From 2 122 kr upwards it is always 149 kr, however expensive the item is — which is why the effective percentage falls the more expensive the item gets.

How auctions are ranked

You should know why you are shown one auction before another. Here is the whole order, with no exceptions.

By default auctions are shown newest first — that is, in the order they were listed, not by when they end.
You can change the order yourself with the sort control: Ending soon (by end time), Price: lowest first and Price: highest first (by current bid). Search matches words in the title and the description, and does not rank hits by relevance.
Paid placement comes before everything else. A seller can buy Highlight or Top placement, and those auctions are put on top whichever sort you choose — Top placement above Highlight, and both above unpaid auctions. Your sort still applies, but within each of those groups. Every auction in a position that was paid for is labelled "Ad".
Nothing is personalised. Search results and category pages look the same for every visitor, signed in or not — what you see is what everyone else sees.

Common questions about fees

When is the fee charged?: When the payout is released: when the buyer confirms the item arrived, or, for shipping booked through DUZO for purchases paid on or after 1 November 2026, no earlier than 14 days after the carrier registers the parcel as delivered if the buyer has not reported a problem. That is when the money is transferred to your payout account with the payment provider, with commission and any add-ons already deducted. You can see the full calculation on the receipt.
Do I pay commission on shipping?: No. Commission is calculated on the item's final price only. The shipping you fronted comes back to you in full.
What happens if the item does not sell?: Nothing costs you anything. That includes any add-ons you chose — they are only charged if the item actually sells, and they carry over when you list it again.
Does buying cost anything?: No. As a buyer you pay for the item and the shipping, nothing on top.
What if the sale falls through?: If it falls through before the money has been paid out to you, no fee is charged. If it has already been paid out and the buyer undoes their confirmation within the undo window (15 minutes after they confirm delivery — see the Rules), you get both the commission and the add-ons back.
Can the fees change?: Yes, but never retroactively. The fee that applies to your item is the one in force when the auction ended, and any change is announced in advance before it takes effect.
