DUZO

FAQ

Answers to the most common questions about buying, selling, paying and getting paid on DUZO.

Do I need an account?
Not to browse and search. Yes to bid, buy or send messages — those need an account. Selling additionally requires an approved seller application and a confirmed email address.
What does it cost?
Nothing if you are buying. As a seller you pay only when the item sells — an unsold or relisted ad costs nothing.
How do I pay?
At checkout, once you have won or bought outright. The money is held until you confirm the item arrived — the seller does not get it before that, with one exception for purchases paid on or after 1 November 2026: if the seller booked the shipping through DUZO, the carrier has registered the parcel as delivered and you neither confirm nor report a problem, it is released to the seller automatically once 14 days have passed. If the fourteenth day is a Saturday, Sunday, Swedish public holiday, or Midsummer, Christmas or New Year's Eve, the next weekday is counted too. We remind you at least three days before. For pickups, and when the seller entered a parcel number themselves, the money is only released by your confirmation.
How is shipping calculated?
From the parcel's weight AND size. The carrier charges for the greater of actual weight and volumetric weight (length × width × height in m³ × 350), which is why a big light parcel costs as much as a heavy one. The seller picks the weight and size class when the listing is created, and the price is on the listing before you bid. Until the first bid it follows the carrier's current price list; once someone has bid, bought the item outright or sent a price offer the seller then accepts, it is locked from that moment and can't change afterwards: if the parcel turns out heavier, the seller pays the difference, never you. Pickup adds no shipping cost.
When do I get paid as a seller?
When the buyer confirms the item arrived — not when you send it. If you booked the shipping through DUZO and the buyer neither confirms nor reports a problem, the payout is released automatically once 14 days have passed from the carrier registering the parcel as delivered, for purchases paid on or after 1 November 2026. If the fourteenth day is a Saturday, Sunday, Swedish public holiday, or Midsummer, Christmas or New Year's Eve, the next weekday is counted too. For pickups, and when you entered the parcel number yourself, it is always the buyer's confirmation that releases the money.
How do I withdraw my money?
Once the payment for a sale has been released, the amount — less commission and any add-ons — goes to your own account with our payment provider and shows in your balance under My money. From there you withdraw it to your bank account with the Withdraw money button: from 50 kr, free of charge, and it is usually there within 1–4 banking days. How payouts work →
What if the item never arrives?
Confirm nothing, and open a case in the message thread. Because the money stays with our payment provider until you confirm, it has not been paid out — we step in and resolve it.
How quickly do I have to send as a seller?
Send within 5 business days of the purchase being paid. We remind you before the time runs out. If you do not send in time the buyer is refunded and you get a strike; at three strikes selling is closed to you.
How do I start selling?
Send an application under Become a seller. A person reviews it, and you get an answer within three working days, at the very latest within a week. Once it is approved and your email address is confirmed, you can create listings.
Can I retract a bid?
No. A bid is binding — if you win, you are obliged to complete the purchase. So only bid what you are prepared to stand behind.
What is a reserve price?
A minimum the seller can set, which is not shown to you. If it is not met the item does not sell, even if the auction has bids.
Do I have a right of withdrawal?
Buying from a business, you have fourteen days by law. If you withdraw, the money goes back the way you paid: to the card or payment method you used. Buying from a private individual there is none — the listing says which the seller is.
